The Foundation Notes.
Ralun began as a field-notes project in 2020 and has developed into an independently produced men's wellness journal operating from Jakarta.

A Journal Built Around Observation, Not Aspiration.
Ralun was established in 2020 by a group of Jakarta-based contributors who shared a persistent frustration with the dominant tone of men's wellness publishing. The majority of content in this space was observed to default to aspirational framing — promising transformation rather than documenting the practical, incremental nature of building lasting habits.
The founding brief was simple: publish what contributors were actually doing, observing, and referencing. Field notes from morning routines. Nutrition records from a full work week. Movement logs from weekend outdoor sessions in West Java and the Bogor highlands. Progress tracking spreadsheets compared against published research benchmarks.
From that starting point, the journal has grown to cover six subject areas with a rotating group of 18 contributing writers. The editorial desk operates from Jl. Dharmawangsa in South Jakarta and maintains a strict review standard: every published piece must carry a documented source or a named contributor whose standing in the relevant field can be verified.

The Standards That Govern Every Published Piece.
Source Transparency
Every factual claim links to a published-research reference or a named contributor. Unverified assertions are not published.
No Affiliate Influence
Ralun does not accept sponsored content, product endorsements, or affiliate commissions. Editorial independence is non-negotiable.
Field-Verified Observation
Contributors document what they have personally observed or practised. Speculative content is labelled and contextualised accordingly.
Measured Register
The tone avoids aspirational marketing language. Ralun reads like a field journal, not an advertising brochure.
Eighteen Writers. Six Subject Areas. One Editorial Standard.
Ralun's contributors are not anonymous. Each writer's professional background is documented on file with the editorial desk and reviewable upon request. The network spans nutrition professionals, movement coaches, grooming journalists, and outdoor sports practitioners based across Indonesia.
The majority are based in Jakarta, with a smaller group contributing from Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, and Yogyakarta. Remote submissions undergo the same editorial review process as locally produced pieces.
An Independent Resource.
Ralun is an independent wellness resource focused on everyday nutrition and active lifestyle practices for men. The content is not affiliated with any governmental or institutional body.
We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any supplement to your daily routine, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.
